How much concrete is involved?
Measure the rough length and width. Count visible joints or separate panels. Name the surface, such as a driveway, walk, patio, pool deck, steps, or garage.
Two jobs with the same square feet may cost differently when one has many small panels or hard edges.
How far did the slab move?
Measure the height change at each safe edge. The provider may plan to raise the slab, add support below it, or do both.
A form cannot measure open space below concrete or predict material use. A fast online price based only on square feet is not a property quote.
Can the provider reach and protect the area?
Equipment space, hose paths, gates, stairs, plants, floors, pool equipment, and vehicles can change the plan.
The written scope should cover protection, cleanup, patches, and when the area may be used again.
What may still show or keep changing?
Cracks, weak edges, coatings, color changes, and patch marks affect the final look. Lifting alone may not meet every finish goal.
Water flow and ongoing movement need separate attention. A lift may change the height without stopping runoff, washout, or soil movement.
How do you compare estimates?
Ask each provider to price the same slabs and goal. Compare material, drill and patch plans, limits, use timing, nearby surfaces, water notes, and warranty terms.
A lower price may leave out work. A higher price does not prove that the cause below the slab will be fixed.
